‘The resulting quality of workmanship is evident in the finished garden’
Dave was employed to renovate our small garden in February 2011. The garden was laid to paving and gravel with some rather unruly flowerbeds, and the brief was to create a space for our small daughter to play more safely, but also a space for the adults to sit, and to open the garden up.
From the first visit, Dave took time and care to establish what I wanted from the garden, but also looked carefully at the various elements of the garden and position of the sun to come up with a design that suited both adults and children. I liked the fact Dave proposed a design that I had not thought of, but when presented to me, it was very clearly the correct design.
The proposed design was a complete transformation of the garden with significant work involved, but the quote was very competitive. Where possible, materials from our current garden were recycled to help keep the cost down.
The work took approximately three weeks to complete, and during this time I was thoroughly impressed with Dave’s work and attitude. He was realiable, honest and worked incredibly hard through the rain and cold, finishing quite late some days. He had a real attention to detail and was not prepared to take a shortcut to make things easier or quicker for him, and the resulting quality of workmanship is evident in the finished garden.
Typical of gardens in our area, the only way to reach our garden in through the rather narrow hallways of our terraced house. Despite filling a skip with rubbish and rubble, Dave was so careful in moving through the house that after the work was done, only a vacuum and mop of the wooden floors was required, and it looked as good as new.
Dave was also courteous and friendly and helped entertain my small daughter whilst he was on his lunch break which was far beyond the call of duty!
I am thrilled with the resulting garden and the work that Dave did and would not hesitate to reccomend him to anyone who wants a fantastic garden designed and landscaped.
